A 15-week Bible Study on Acts 13-28 offered by LifeMark Ministries
Are you spending time anxiously pondering and wondering about the future of the Christian church in America? Faced with multiple crisis in leadership, disputes over Biblical doctrine and church tradition, at a time of opposition to absolute truth revealed in the Bible, can the Christian church grow in number and unity? Can it even survive?
Chapters 13 through 28 of the book of Acts provides the Biblical foundation for the historical record of how the church of the first century, powered by the Holy Spirit working through disciples of Jesus Christ, overcame obstacles to growth and unity. Answers to the questions for the 21st-century church can be found in this fifteen-week study.
The study reveals how Jesus’ command “to be His witness to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8) was carried out by His disciples from the time of church persecution to Paul’s proclamation of Jesus as the resurrected Christ in Rome. The study follows the apostle Paul steps out in faith, powered by the Holy Spirit, to fulfill his appointment as apostle to the Gentiles. Paul, (who as Saul was a chief persecutor of Jesus and His church), surrenders to God’s divine purpose for him. Though suffering hardship he finished strong for the Lord.
Engaging in reading, thought, discussion, and prayer in this study, will reveal attributes of Biblical leadership, principles for managing disputes of doctrine and tradition, and the significance of Biblical truth to grow and unify the Christian church. You will be encouraged by learning God’s word to boldly live God’s way participating in life-changing ministry for Jesus through His church today.
