The Church's Foundation Peter Steps Up in Faith

A 11-week Bible Study on Acts 1-12 offered by LifeMark Ministries

Do you have concerns about the Christian church in America today? Have your beliefs in the purpose and position of the Christian church been challenged by today’s headlines and research polls? Have you wondered how the church described in the Bible would function today?

The first 12 chapters of the book of Acts provide the Biblical foundation for the purpose and function of the Christian church both in the first century and the 21st century. In an eleven-week study of these chapters, God’s predetermined purpose for His church and how it is to function under the power of the Holy Spirit through the disciples of Jesus Christ is revealed.

This study demonstrates how the Great Commission (Mat 28:19,20) was carried out by Christ’s disciples in the first 10 to 11 years of church history. It describes the apostle Peter’s role as church leader. Humbly submitting to God’s direction and powered by the Holy Spirit, Peter steps up in faith, not fear. Peter, who three times denied even knowing Jesus, submits to what God can do, not limiting himself to what he can do.

Absorbing yourself into this study, you will discover how the first-century disciples learned God’s word so they could help people live God’s way. You will be encouraged and excited to participate in the life-transforming work Jesus continues today through His church.
