Decorate for Easter

As we decorate for Christmas, we’re reminded of God’s great gift through Jesus, but how do we celebrate the greatest event in history—Easter? Perhaps it’s time to make Easter just as meaningful in our homes, with decorations and reminders of the incredible sacrifice and promise of eternal life.

As the festive season approaches, people joyfully greet one another with warm phrases like "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays." These heartfelt expressions hold deeper meanings that are worth exploring. Have you ever paused to ponder the significance behind these celebratory words? Amid the twinkling lights and bustling shopping centers, it can be easy to become enmeshed in the commercialization of this time of year. Take a moment to step outside and observe your neighborhood—how many signs and lovely decorations can you see that proclaim the birth of your Savior? As you wander through this season of joy, don’t forget to take a moment to reflect and give thanks for the true essence of the holidays.

After Jesus' resurrection and appearance to many, He gave the Great Commission to His disciples. He told them to go and make disciples of ALL nations. In Acts 1, Luke recorded Jesus' words to the disciples that they would be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth!

We, too, are called to be His witnesses -- in our homes, our communities, our nation, and even to the ends of the earth. We offer a way you can do just that by participating in our annual "Pack & Pray" event where we will pack shoeboxes to be delivered by Operation Christmas Child around the world!
